What is the GST/HST Credit?
The GST/HST credit is a federal government benefit paid out four times a year—in January, April, July, and October. It helps ease the burden of indirect taxes (like GST or HST) for Canadians who may struggle most with the rising cost of living.
The last payment was issued on April 4, 2025, and the next round will be sent on Friday, July 4, 2025.
This quarter’s payments include a 2.7% increase due to inflation adjustments for the 2025-2026 benefit year.

Other Benefits Coming This Month
In addition to the GST credit payment in July 2025, other federal and provincial benefits—such as the Canada Carbon Rebate, Canada Child Benefit (CCB), and the Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB)—are also scheduled this month.
