We are pleased to invite you to submit your application to attend the ACTia investor/venture Clean Technology Matchmaking Event on Oct 28th, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, directly before the opening reception of the ERA Spark Conference, in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Clean Technology Matchmaking Event is intended to bring clean technology innovators and entrepreneurs together with prospective financial investors and strategic partners – established companies who offer innovators a route to scale-up and market access.

Who Should Apply?

• Clean technology innovators and entrepreneurs who are seeking financing and are ready to make a “pitch” to potential investors and strategics towards gaining the capital and support needed to commercialize their technology and venture.

• Investors and strategics interested in investing in or supporting pre-commercial, near-commercial or rapidly-scaling clean technology entrepreneurs and innovations.

Event Format

This 2 hour event will seek to connect innovators with potential investors including VCs, angels, banks, private investors, as well as with established companies who offer innovators a route to scale-up and market access (“strategic partners”).

Participants will include at least 30 cleantech innovators and 13 investors and strategics.  Investors and strategics will each host 3-5 meetings at their respective tables.  Meetings will last 10 minutes. Innovators should come prepared to “pitch” their innovation to at least one prospective investor or strategic.

Application Process

​The application form takes approximately 10 – 15 minutes to complete. Innovators will identify the purpose of their innovation and investment/support needs. Investors and strategics will identify areas of interest in cleantech in terms of theme and state of commercialization. By looking for aligned responses between innovators and investors,  ACTia’s selection team will work to curate successful matches.  You will have the opportunity to confirm your matches before the event.

Late Applicants:  The application form will remain open until October 16th  to accommodate late applicants.  Applications received after the October 8th deadline, will be reviewed later in October if there are still meeting slots available with the investors / strategics.  To avoid disappointment, please try to complete the form by Oct 8th.
